Tampered Device Message

Look at the message displayed on the device's screen. The most common messages are:

• PED TAMPERED > ALL KEYS WERE CLEARED

• TAMPERED > ENTER PASSWORD

#➥Note the Model and Serial Number

Check the model and serial number of your device. This will help identify the issue.

#➥Report Any Incidents

Inform us if the message appeared suddenly or if there was a prior incident, such as:

• Water spilled on the device

• The terminal fell on the floor

• It appeared during a transaction

• There was a power outage while the terminal was charging
